Do you have any goals for your productions in the upcoming year? I don't really mean equipment or programs you intend to buy, or upgrades you want to make to your computer. I mean musical goals, styles you want to explore or projects you want to start or complete. Or improving your synthesis or instrumental skills.

Personally I am going to concentrate on making some lush, melodic proggy stuff.

When I move from Colorado I get my bass and electric guitar back, and I can concentrate once more on neo-classical shred and bass playing. I'm not looking to incorporate the guitar (bass is a different story) into my electronic productions, though.

  • Improve my mixing (easier with new monitors)
  • Get a couple of tracks put together with a vocalist

well im concentrating very hard at the moment on this remix.
not because im after a record release(this would be a bonus thoe)
its because i tend to fall into the same genure.
and my musical talant seems to lie with classical.
but i have no real way off pursuing this.

so instead i will just have to stick with edm.
i like the sound off the lush prog to.
i may look into that as well.

to:

stop being lazy and getting stuck into the studio with most of my free time.

avoid creating too many concepts and tests, and focus more on actual songs.

Stuff to focus on:

* 1 release (inkl. remixes) a month on my label.
* make some breakbeat, bigbeat, ambient, gamingstuff-music.
* try compilling a album and see whether i can release it digitaly somehow.
* better sound on my tracks.
* Better promotion of label.

If enough time:

* learn logic and if likeable get a better mac, hopefully macbook.
* if i get a macbook, learn ableton + traktor or serato
* if all above is truem start laptop djeing.

Actually learn how to use Logic since I just got it and a Mac instead of being lazy and using my computer and Cubase/Ableton.

I know it isn't that difficult, but every time I open it and then try learning I close it after 15 minutes and start working on my PC.

im in,of course you do understand making the sounds relvent with prog ect is hard to do.
mainy because of the software/hardware that is used.
and im sure they use some type of reverb that is different also.
