at 3 to 4 times the cost, i can. the reason for the strange routing is both budget and convenience, not that landing in zurich is convenient, rather, i prefered my layover to be at singapore specifically, rather than hong kong or bangkok or a few other options i had, also sorted me with a great airline as you can see, and all at a far cheaper price than many alternatives - some of which even less convenient.

Fair enough. I'd probably do the same thing, well depends on the difference. If it was $4 vs $1 I'd probably wouldn't :D

nah, changi is the perfect airport to spend your layover at, free movies, free internet, maybe some decent shopping.. won't need a hotel.

Free movies?

that's terrible. let me guess...with a salad and grapes? :wtf: the NYC-LON market gets hosed cause it's shorter airtime...as did my system without the extra 3hrs to process all the alcohol i ingested. :nervous:

Nice work, ID90s I take it? Did the corporate jet a thing a couple of times at my old job. Good fun and very convenient for domestic travel.

how nice. :) i was on employee D2s. i rarely flew other airlines, as i had free domestic travel for >5yrs of service. i flew on BA and air france ZED tickets just a handful of times. really wish i'd gotten to fly on the concorde prior to retirement. at least i got onboard when air france chartered concorde flights to DFW. [yeah, who DOES that?!]

you guys with your first class pictures, you know most of the people on this site can't afford that :p

I'm 6-2 and I always request either the aisle or the emergency door, that helps a little bit with the legroom. But I'm brown so I have problems at airports regardless. How many times in a row is a "random screening" REALLY random? C'mon.

I was thankful I got an LHR-JFK on Concorde back in 2002, just a few months before the retirement was announced. The highlight of my airborne travels to date:

hearing all these complaints makes me very happy i told work I wasn't going to travel anymore. Used to be o/s about 3 months of the year all in 1-2 week trips.
changi's probably the best airport for a layover, but when you do 40+ flights a year through there it's not so exciting. At least you can get out quickly (been out of customs, had money changed and met a friend in 10 minutes after plane stopped at the gate), and head over to changi village for a few beers or go into town if you;ve got even a 4 hour layover.

aisle vs window - depends on how far I'm going. Convenience of being able to get up whenever you want vs not having to get up to let others out.
And for those who hate flying, get some sleeping tablets, helps a lot if you have to be in decent shape to work at the other end, especially when flying east.

still a lot better these days, I remember flying south africa to aus back when direct flights weren't allowed, joburg to harare, 10 hour layover in zimbabwe, 14 hour flight home. that really sucked. though I have gone sydney, singapore, capetown (26 hours instead of 16) just to avoid flying qantas.

I digress Air Korea is like flying in ww2.
