Well if money was taken out of the equation goods and services would take over as the root of all evil.
Something will still act as currency. I can't just go ask Elan to give me a pair of top notch skis, and then BMW a new car.
You will have people who have connections who could acquire all the free things, but really you couldn't just give free things to everyone. Giving out free bread and cheese is one thing.
Advantages, we would have no problem with insanely expensive eco-friendl improvements we could make to our lives. Education would be free and taught well.
But I think your trade would determine where you stack up in life. The CAD designer who makes all the drawings for the cars and the skis will have connections to everything. But the breadmaker will be able to just get basic goods and services.
