Just happened to notice because it's a slow night and I was on the Political Discussion section and decided to check out the local board. The high number of locks stuck out, so I popped into a couple. |

yeah but u have to admit sometimes sleepy & boo post threads that get no responses.
And it's not there anymore but Plexipr posted 2 of the very same threads (can't even keep up on the threads she herself, posts)when there was already one.
I understand some ppl are active posters but this site isn't all about promotions. It's become that way because of not really having a mod.
Like I said earlier - Neo is doing the best that he can from modding across the pond. You have to understand he doesn't fully understand who is active and who is not.
Go and PM neo.. tell sleepy & boo to PM neo etc.. etc.. They will be reinstated. Not a big deal. Just trying to clean up the clutter that our non existent mod does :) |

talking bout events that relate to the general public is fine.
Posting every single thread for every single party in NY - is not. (it is ny .. there is a party for everything)
there are plenty of party websites and you shouldn't have to rely on only TA's to come out in hopes of supporting.
Which is why only active posters should create a thread if they see a party they like posted in the events thread.. by the promoter :)
CORE parties relate to us and you guys are actually active.. and for the most part - most of sleepy & boo's relate but not all. |

basically it comes down to the point that NYTA simply needs a NYTA Mod.
Its getting a littles out of wack

i can't believe they got banned lol, they throw some of the best parties in NY, whats up TA????
maybe the mod should do his homework before banning people lol |

and now the battle of favoritism begins, who produces good parties and who doesn't all subjective in my opinion.
i say from Simon's standpoint, if you are going to institute a RULE (that all of you bitched and complained about) that you follow through with consistency and not play the favoritism rule.
Mod doesn't decide which party gets more attention then the next, they're there to with hold a rule.
Don't like it, shouldn't have bitched and complained that we need a new mod and things would stay cluttered as you all called it

wow...im so slacking- ive been ignoring this thread due to the fact that, well, theres nothing i can do.
But banning Sleepy and Boo????? seriously?
I dont necisarily agree with the promoters being banned like that- the ones that have complaints from the community, or are obviously not here to BE part of the community is one thing- IF they are constantly posting. But people who come to post a party- well, dont we NEED THEM???? isnt that part of this forum?
maybe by not keeping up with this thread Ive missed the point...am i missing a valuable piece here? |

My opinion on the whole thing...
I love the way they run things in the Toronto Forum. Why not give Tom (EnigmaT) the capability to run and oversee an event sub-froum like they have in Toronto? Tom obviously knows everyone on here and can differentiate spammers from legit posts. He also clearly is up to date on all our party scheduling needs.
What do you guys think of that?
And PS, Sleepy and Boo should not be banned. |
