A: Ban = no more use of that account
B: Suspension - Temp restriction of use of that account
So far I have only suspended accounts, all those that have been suspended will be reactivated within 14 days of suspension
so sleepy and boo, etc will all be back and hopefully will now be aware of the change to this forum.
NY Mod - Yes, I totally agree, a new mod is required for this forum, someone who knows your local scene and those active in it.
This has been discussed in this forum and in the mods forum several times, I like you, feel like i am banging my head against a brick wall when it comes to getting a new mod for this section.
Lets all hope it happens soon!
Subforum for parties and events - I have asked Swamper about this and will continue to bug him on the subject but in the meantime to overcome the problem the majority of NY posters complained to me about, please continue to use the sticky thread for promotions of events and parties. |

How do You suggest We go about appointing a new mod ? Is it a big deal ?
We all had this discussion months ago and came to an overwhelming conclusion that 'Z' would be a great choice. |

i say from Simon's standpoint, if you are going to institute a RULE (that all of you bitched and complained about) that you follow through with consistency and not play the favoritism rule.
Mod doesn't decide which party gets more attention then the next, they're there to with hold a rule.

it's not about which parties are popular and playing favortisim... its about if there is general discussion in the thread...
if you post an event thread and no one posts in it and the only posts are from the promoter constantly bumping then thats a prob... but if you post an event and everyones talking about it.. doesn't that add to the community?
if you post a thread and no one wants to reply to it.. it eventually dies... you can tell which are spam and which are not... thats all im saying.. at least let a promoter post the thread and then let the community decide if they want to post in the thread... don't just ban a person because they made a thread announcing a party.. thats all... |

just the same that a member interested in a discussion can copy the promoters original post in the "event" thread & start a thread. ;) |
