Even though i enjoyed his set a lot, i had a few issues with it as well. His builds ups were kinda half assed. He'd build you up, but then take it right back down again instead of dropping into a sick bassline....or something. There were times i was getting hyped to go nuts, and then i was just left standing there wondering what happened...lol. but again, he was still the highlight of my night from what i saw, the short time i was there as well.

LOL..

That is my definition of EVERY SINGLE minimal, deep house, whatever you want to call it, set I have ever heard...

Holy Jon...

That is a great analogy...

And it completely supports why I hate that music so much...

And I'm pretty sure that real techno is as explosive as it gets...

Pretty bold statement considering how many times you go to guv.

I thought was okay, but I enjoyed the music more say 2-3 years ago. It's hard to say now, times are changing.

it was BACK 2 BACK 2 BACK of the DIRTIEST music till 7:30 am.
that was as good as it gets for minimal/techno sets!

just in phenomenal!! :eyespop:

apperently Nic Fanciulli and Dubfire were heading to cz to party afterwards.......did anyone see them?

thank u! i love techno, and techno buildups usually DO go somewhere!!! so that wasn't the issue at all....it was just his style of build-up I wasn't fond of. And i 100% get that build-ups aren't what minimal techno is all about...but Squillace WAS creating build-ups in his set, and they just weren't working for me.

awesome awesome awesome night! dubfire was amazing! was really digging fanciulli, squillace, junkies and tommie sunshine too. last night was 300% better than a&b on saturday hands down

I would have to agree!

The last time I experienced such a night was Freedom 06. My only complaint was the fact that coat check refused to take my jacket when I arrived and the crowd had thinned out quite a bit (one can only imagine what would have happened if the main room was full towards the end of the night), but that wasn't going to stop me from letting loose to the absolute destruction that was taking place.

Glad I made it out. 9/10

Never again will I underestimate Dubfire and his abilities.

P.S. Sound was top Notch also!

can anybody tell me what the time slots were for the main room, i didnt see them anywhere last night
