the san francisco lovefest is being renamed this year. in order that the best, most creative name is thrown in the hat and hopefully chosen, let's discuss where we should go from here...

there's the survey. i'm not really feeling the options given, i think the new name should play on the "summer of love" heritage, since it was essentially the sf lovefest of the 60's. thoughts?
ps: in spite of the reason for the name change, let's try to keep this thread positive. |

| why are they changing it? Didnt organizers have to pay to use The Love Parade the first couple years when they were using it? |

| there's a certain promoter in la that sued lovefest because the name "infringed" on one of their events :rolleyes: the sf organizers are living up to the spirit of "love" and not fighting them on it... personally, i don't think the other party has a case, but neither does lovefest--being a non-profit--have money to hire corporate attorneys and go to court. |

Oh geeesh how ing lame is that.. the people down in LA were all excited because as many of them put it "they where also having a LOVE FEST" sadly the cheesy house filled line up did not match the true variety that our LOVE FEST of San Francisco has become, also admission was free to the SF, the LA one was not..
The irony of things is that they sue now that the organizers in San Francisco pretty much branded the "LOVE FEST" name.
