We Actually Have It Pretty Nice (pg. 6)

I'm not talking about phantom drinks on your bill by the way.

I'm talking phantom CHARGES.

As in, you get your bill, it's right. You sign, tip, leave. Get your bank statement (or credit card statement). And instead of having paid $120 that night. You ended up paying $120 and $80. ONE of the people this had happened to had used a debit card and only had ~$150 in his checking up to that night. He was very careful he said not to go over it. When the bill came, he was only around $120, so he took a nice sigh of relief. Apparently when he went to the bank that following Monday or whatever to put more money into the account, he was in the nagative by $50, as well as having a charge from the bank for over withdrawing.

You can claim all you want that the guy is an idiot for letting someone swipe his debit card, which by the sounds of it romz, is what you're going to claim. And to that, I think you're an idiot. As consumers, we're suppose to be able to walk into a business and have security and peace of mind that the business practices ethical behavior.

I'm not.

George Acosta and Markus Schulz are actually my two favorite DJs at the moment. Armin has gotten a little too cheesy sadly. Still love his stuff for the most part...but Trance is suppose to be about the melodies and energy. And he's been trying to overcompensate with the vocals lately.

I hope I can get a ride to this...should be able to. The Mark isn't really walking distance from my place.

Wow, you would put Acosta up there with Markus? You seem to have good taste, so that makes me optimistic. I think Armin did great his last time here, but he does overplay the vocals at times. His Imagine album is a good example of that. Are you really going to 3 shows in a row the 1st, 2nd and 3rd?

Nah, unfortunately I don't think I'll be going up to Charlotte this go around. I really want to, but Markus is going to be here in Atlanta 3 weeks later. I can get my fix then.

I'm just leaving it on my "schedule" in an attempt to help advertise it some for other people who might be interested.

But Armin on the 1st and Acosta on the 3rd.

Although if anyone else from Atlanta is planning on going to see Markus on the 2nd, let me know...I can definitely be talked into going!

I would love to go, but unfortunately don't really have a good travel car. If there were some people going, I would definately look into it, depending on what my work situation is then.

I think I can safely say I don't lack confidence!

I'm curious to check out the parties that are coming up at The Mark, and I don't mind venturing outside of trance. I've actually grown quite fond of house and d&b.

... but yeah, I'm pretty much over Opera. Or anything that pops up on some random weeknight, because I'm definitely too old to be showing up at work at 8AM only mildly alert and functional!

So wait, you haven't been out to see to Acosta yet!?!?

I kind of just noticed that was what you were saying... man, you should definitely go. His set at WETBar back in Dec'07 was ing epic in my opinion.

Nope. Something always seems to keep me from going. Someone else would be in town close to him or I had other concerts to go to. I guess I just never made him a top priority. I knew he was good, but guess I never gave him a shot to be up with the best. It's another plus that his tickets are only 12 dollars compared to Armin's 30.

Well I would never suggest skipping Armin, but if you haven't seen Acosta and you don't think you'll be up for both, definitely check out Acosta.

Well, I don't want to miss him, but April is so full of stuff. Not only is there Armin, Acosta, and Markus, but about 5 concerts I want to go to also. I'm going to have to choose.

Well, I won't be able to make it to every show, but may check out more stuff. It really does sound like a better atmosphere. Now if only people like Markus Schulz could play there. :tongue2
