ok...lets do this the right way. my original name on the Forum was M104D, some of you might remember that.
now, whats funny is that apparently i cant mix if my life depended on it. ok. Maxx, i will put you in a place in the booth that will leave you begging for life. im not pro, im not some supreme blender, i got heart. something you lack in a hardcore way. i know what i do and why i do it. if i wanna exit the booth and shake ppls hands, i think thats networking. if i wanna the muzik, its because im in love with it. do you know what the difference between loving the muzik and being in love with the muzik is? ill explain it to you. loving the muzik is going out and listening to the DJ's/Producers, buying their albums, playing their tracks, etc. Being in Love with the muzik is running into a ing burning building, risking your own life, to save your: turns, tabletops, mixers, records, computers, high and low end monitors, and what i made myself to be...i made myself to be a trance dj and producer. i couldnt leave that man behind.
that set i played, i wrote it on the fly. sunday morning i came up with 8 tracks i liked, there was a theme, a flow, a complexity behind it. just because you notice all the wrong things, clearly it makes you "a far better person than me". you are twisted son.
with regards to your girl, i could care less if she wanted me or not. i have enough problems in my life and i wouldnt want to put a wonderful person like that in emotional trauma for the rest of her life. youve already taken care of that for me.
last time i checked, all NON-PROFESSIONAL DJS ARE POSERS. just like amateur snowboarders. you gotta have something crisp and new to make it and with that crisp and new thing you are no longer a poser, others start posing offa you, then they move on up with something new...and the story goes on. so with that, you Sir are a poser too. welcome to the club, and you have been demoted to tool, your medal is in the mail.
now to the rest of you. this has been wonderful. i woke up this morning to my iphone telling me there was like a bajillion msgs on TA. i know respect isnt given, its earned. i came here looking for help in the matter, and i got the help i was looking for. thank you.
Maxx, I had to take a step out of my ego boosted personality to show you alot of respect. there was no mention of me thanking you profusely for the opportunity that i had to pay for. So if im a bad man for showing you respect where you shown me none, then i really guess i was wrong about the muzik bringing people together. |

What I don't understand is why you are letting the bar handle the recordings for your competition, which you then post and play on your radio site. I was able to record a mix for a friend at Y-not, and it could not have been more simple, and it came out great. I asked the bar where the line out was, got a cable, hooked up a recorded and got a high quality recording.
Maybe this speaks the the quality of the competition in general? FFS, pay to play? This has sham written all over it. |
