I'd say take this as a positive step like my friend did. A buddy of mine entered club246 dj competitions twice...both times he didn't win, when in one instance he definitly should have won. Instead of ranting on an internet forum, he said " those rigged popularity contests" and focused his efforts on expanding his horizons started producing. Now, about 3 years later this guy has honed his skills and is making dancefloor BOMBS in his bassment, trying to compile a library of tracks. Now he has a chance to explode onto the scene locally in Toronto and who knows where his productions could further lead him...
So stop being a bitch and do something about it! |

Another good point, This contest can actually be good for those who don't win. I know a guy who spun in my round, and didn't win, but now is doing pretty good, 'cuz he said, "Screw this ", and know he's spinning at clubs in TO, he spins house. I myself have taken it to heart and have been doing pretty good so far this year, 2 parties coming up :), and it's lookin' good for this year.
Try to use this is a stepping stone, and channel that anger into something positve, but it takes hard work, and patience, but it works.

im doing many things about my situation. i came here for help, i got the help i was looking for. is that too much to ask for? im new to this forum, clearly, and i know it is quite active.
my story is enlightening and frightening, mad and sad, ed and sane, and drinkin and burnin. so made perficle sence w/ spoke in hur.

thankyou for that. its hard for me to get out and noticed here in toronto. most luck with the shows you have coming up.
i have played in other places (provinces, states, countries), but toronto is very hard to break into. |
