New York Electronic Music Festival w/Armin van Buuren - Sept 2009

Last night at the end of Armin's show at the Roseland Ballroom the screen showed a flyer stating that Armin van Buuren will be playing at the "New York Electronic Music Festival" in September 2009. The flyer was orange and I'm almost positive it was being put on by Made Event. There were two dates posted, so it looks like this may be a two day event. I'm pretty sure the dates were September 3rd and 4th but there was no location on the flyer. It also went up only briefly and seemed to be a teaser of sorts, as I can't find anything about this online.
If anyone else knows what I'm talking about or knows anyone involved w/ Made Event please post any relevant information here. Its about time we have a legit festival here that plays trance, so lets hope this ends up being great. And hopefully outdoors. |

| Pure speculation but im positive tat this will be more than just a trance event. Probably only the headliners will be trance. |

sept 3rd and 4th fall on a thursday and a friday
i dunno...to me those arent the best days of the week to throw a festival
i didnt see any flyers for this outside
hopefully some more info about this will be poping up
location,line-up,dates etc |

dont we have the 15000 ppl tiesto thing in sept as well?

I was pretty drunk at the end of the show, so it may have been Sept 4th and 5th. A friday and saturday would make much more sense. I'm positive I saw this though b/c I remember giving some random dude behind me a high five as soon as the banner came up and talking about how it's about time a big trance DJ headlined a festival like this in NY.
The way this was advertised makes it more than speculation, but they're probably waiting until more artists are singed before posting it on their website. But if this and Tiesto both happen in September, it'll be an epic way to end the summer. |

r u sure its gonna be a festival? cause it might just be armin only
cause he came here a few years ago and did back to back parties
was there any other dj's posted on the screen? |

Armin was the only DJ posted on the screen, but I doubt they would call it, "New York Electronic Music Festival" if it were an Armin Only (although that would be awesome). I also think an Armin Only would be a one night 8hr or so event as opposed to being split up for two nights If nobody has any connections w/Made we're probably beating a dead horse until they release the information, but hopefully they'll be able to throw a legitimate festival. I went to school in LA the past four years, and festivals like Monster Massive, ETD Pop, Electronic Daisy Carnival, Nocturnal Wonderland, etc were amazing and something definitely missing from the east coast scene (minus ultra). |
