but here goes nothing;
Iran (Persian: ايران, /irɒn/↔Iran_alborz.ogg [ʔiˈɾɒn] (help·info)), officially the Islamic Republic of Iran and formerly known internationally as Persia until 1935, is a country in Central Eurasia,[5] located on the northeastern shore of the Persian Gulf and the southern shore of the Caspian Sea. Since 1949, "Persia" and "Iran" have been used interchangeably in cultural context, however, Iran is the name used officially in political context. The name Iran is a cognate of Aryan, and means "Land of the Aryans".

for the most part you cant get more gino then the persians these days, but pound for pound the Italian ginos of the late 90's destroy the persian ginos of today on a scale of ginoness. IMO |
Funny thing is, today's Persian gino is just like the Italian gino of the 90's. Hair, car, and all...just different eras.

so I guess it's like a Yugoslavia kind of thing. The collective republic no longer exists but people still sometimes call themselves Yugoslavian. My Slovenian friends sometimes still refer to Yugoslavia. Same with my sister's bf's baba... she's like 100 though :tongue2
Thanks for the info. I was just wondering cuz last week one of my coworkers was talking on the phone in something that sounded like arabic and I asked her what she was speaking and she said Farsi. So I was like "cool, you're Iranian?" She's like "no no I'm Persian" :conf: |

I entertained the idea of being mistaken and asked for clarification.
If you had some brain cells left to dedicate to anything other than boobies and internet porn, maybe you could have said something insightful.
No worries though, I didn't have high hopes for anything intelligent from you. |
