Considering all the warnings and elevated alarms from WHO, I don't see the same type of reaction from the Ministry of Health. Our Gov has posted travel 'advisories' to Mexico. But, if the threat of 'global pandemic' is imminent, you think the Canadian gov would be scrambling and sounding the horn as well.

I think they just mean it's imminent as it will spread from country to country which has already happened. What I'm more worried about is the severity.

It's possible that our government isn't completely retarded. But I'm not really sure I believe that myself...

iPhone Swine Flu Tracker coming soon ...

It was only a matter of time before some developer, in this case IntuApps, created an application revolving around the Swine Flu and why not, it’s actually pretty informative and it will be free. According to Techcrunch you can expect the following features:

“you can see the current Threat Level for the disease, a map showing confirmed and suspected cases, a symptoms area to inform people, and an alert page for breaking news on Swine Flu.”

This one can be very useful for a lot of people but now the big question is when will this application be approved?

Might be useful if this flu does spread ...

How about Herpes tracker? Now that would be waaay more useful

Number of confirmed swine flu cases reported worldwide = 350

Number of people who've died so far this year in North America from regular, every day flu = 12,000 (approx.)

Three cheers for media fear mongering, hip hip hooray!

How true indeed... And even people in toronto who should know better from SARS have bought into it.
