| You can use any effects and mastering tools you want, even compression. |

Wouldn't using nexus be major cheating? It's full of samples from a variety of synths. Considering the OP has given us a few samples and one synth...I don't see why using nexus would be allowed.
A good choice of synth would be Albino3, Sylenth1, Massive, etc..
But I think Nexus should be out of the equation. I have it, so i don't mind...but to me it just seems like.. whats the point of samples then? There's like 100 kick, hi hat, snare, etc...with load of pads, leads, and whatnot.
Am I wrong? |

| I'll add a point about not using drum samples from ROMplers or sample-based synths. |

| The point isn't to win but challenge yourself creatively speaking. So choosing nexus would be the worst thing you could do in the ideals of this challenge. Me myself I'm going to choose Atmosphere |

Sounds like fun. Probably gonna be ye olde V-Station for me.
Would be even more fun if it was only user designed patches allowed, that's the way I'll be doing it(then again that's the only way for me :)). |

Lol, reminds me of the old-school tracker competitions. I used Impulse Tracker with the other mouth-breathers while the truly hardcore stuck to FastTracker.
I don't know if I have time, but it'd be fun to try. I'd probably use z3ta+ or Albino as the synth. |
