| No. 5 samples, one synth, and whatever you can do with it. no nexus drums. you can use as many instances of said synth as you want. |

Are you sure it shouldn't be just one patch?
I think that would be pretty intense. |

| that wouldn't be much of a song. mrjivebojangles already clarified, use as many patches as you want. |

| Yep, use any patches you want, but they all have to be on the same synth. |

| I think it is better anyway to use as many sounds as u want on the same synth, this way we could say, beef up them 909samples with the synth layering. We can do that right? |

Sure, or you could even synthesize your own percussion entirely from scratch, if you think you're able. I would be even more impressed if somebody made a whole track, percussion and all, just by using one synth.

I like the idea but not enough.
This isnt exactly limiting people at all imo. Whats the point of telling people they can only use a certain number of samples, then telling them they have no limit on the instances of a synth they choose?
Because LOTS of samples can be made with 1 synth,
and if everyone is going to pick their favorite synth they're not being challenged at all because they already use that synth most of the time.
If you limited the instances to say 3 or 4 then I would be in.. otherwise I don't really get it. |

this could be fun. i never really do these kind of things.
i would like to use Operator, but is that really fair? I mean you can kinda make whatever you want in it... |

Seriously, at least make that the contest.
I didn't listen to the samples you provided but if they're a basic kick, hat, clap you might as well omit them and have people do the entire track with one synth.
Its really not going to make it much harder at all but it will be a lot more fun. eh idfk |

| You know what what I said, I heard the samples and its really not a big deal to just not use them. |

Sure. As long as it's the only synth used in the track. |
