She should really stick to what she's good at. Not everyones a Will Smith or a Deon Sanders. I'm embarrassed for her. It sounds like she installed logic on monday and released this on friday. Lady Gaga is sounding really good right now. |

If we all stuck with what we were good at, no one would do anything at all! Everyone starts somewhere.

Its great that she wants to do something different but maybe she should've waited till she was better at this new venture before releasing an album. Its naturally going to get attention due to the name behind it and pulling in Sam Roberts doesn't hurt either. Maybe this should've been given to her friends for xmas or passed out for free at shows.
I'd expect someone with an ear for music (which she obviously has) to know that this is just kind of lame. I haven't listened to anything else so I can't comment on the rest of the album. Maybe its better and some music exec decided to release the worst track as a single? |

but that's entirely your own opinion. I gather she's gotten some positive feedback as well (the track with Roberts was voted #1 on a Montreal radio show for a bit I think), otherwise it wouldn't have made it this far.
The most obvious group of people who are going to hate it is the electronic crowd, so I'm not really surprised at the reaction here. |

LOL, yeah maybe she can remix her own track into something decent. I'm sure some people will like it. I thought the david guetta/kelly rowland track was pretty weak and even the deadmau5/kaskade collaboration isn't the best either of them have done.
Radio really needs a new sandstorm, castles in the sky, or cotton eyed joe. LOL! |
