My initial response was not aimed at you, Jamie. Hence my "/social rant."

I actually agree with your theoritical response to a 4 yr old. You gotta show your kids who's boss at an early age else they walk all over you as they begin to grow up.

they're so cute when they want to be. and it's funny how he'll never pull the crap he pulls with my sister when i'm around or when my mom is around. he totally respects us more, it's sad. he's only gonna get worse as he gets older. i tell my sister that sometimes if i'm around to witness one of his fits and how she handles it. i just shake my head a little and say, 'wow you're in for a real treat when he's a teenager' and she kinda gives me this " you, i know you're right" look.
