it drives me crazy that so many people do things like that. i'd much rather have a few really good friends than have a whole bunch of friends who aren't really the type of people i want to be around.

same goes for relationships. i feel like so many people i know are staying in relationships out of convenience, not because they're really happy or because they really love the person. it makes me want to puke.

edit // and i guess i should add that it drives me so crazy because i used to be like that and i can't believe some of the mistakes i've made and the time i wasted just because i didn't want to be alone. learning experiences, for sure.

There are a lot of fish in the sea; most of them are bottom feeders.

I had a friend in Peru that was a compulsive liar , and it was so obvious that he became a joke in our circle of friends .

One day the 7 of us , were all stoned / drunk with him , so each and everyone of us call him out on always making up the most ridiculous and unbelievable stories just to sound cool . Every single one of us had a story to tell about the this guy would make up and how we found out it wasn't true , We were laughing our ass off in front of him . Ofcourse he denied it all and was embarrassed the whole time. That day we baptized him with a funny nickname in spanish that relates to his lying habit .

After that night He got a little better on telling truth but still everyonce in a while he would make up and when it was obvious we would call him that nickname and he would say "ok you got me" :

I had a friend who was compulsive liar (keyword; had). I called him out on it a number of times and even told him what the rest of his friends thought of him . did it help? nope waste of time. he lied once unforgivably to me and that was it. end of friendship, enough was enough. but yea generally it isnt gonna stop them

I prefer to let the lies build up and swell into a giant lie zit that I can pop with my truthiness pinch and squirt gross lie puss onto my truth mirror. I like to do blow off a truth mirror too.

i was just reminded of two friends that used to hang out in our little high school clique back in the day- one lied about the most outrageous to try and impress all of us, it took him years to realize he didn't have to bull us and we accepted him anyways. i remember he said one story about how he supposedly bought a corvette down south and was driving it back up to wisconsin but unfortunately totalled it on the way back. riiiight.

and the other guy used to bull so badly it was painful; he was originally from atlanta, was forced to move to wisconsin with his parents and absolutely hated it, so he always had to tell everyone how much better atlanta was. i remember we were at a house party and he was hitting on this girl, telling her about how he knew outkast personally and he saw them EVERY weekend at "the club" when he lived there. mind you, he moved to wisconsin when he was 14. he ended up moving back to atlanta with his mom and i've never seen him since, but up until the day he left he was a bullter.

People who accuse others of being compulsive liars are just jealous of the adventures of a boy who has not set limits on themselves. You go and bum smokes off your uncle when you're 14, drink beer when your underage, sneak out at midnight to make out with Jimmy the mailman-big whoop, you're so cool, don't forget to brag to Lisa and Janice when school starts on Monday.
Meanwhile, Clarence, fed up with the monotony of his life, decides to do something erratic for his short lived existence on earth. He decides to streak across the I-15 freeway in the middle of the night, doing cartwheels and videotaping himself with his dad's camcorder. He starts doing it, but then a bobcat starts chasing him. He runs for his life, and then a samaritan in a minivan picks him up and saves his life.
He doesn't realize it at first, but in the back seat they are filming a porno. And then they ask Clarence if he wants to join. And then they all get it on.

Just cus you are the first in your clique to go around making out with the high school doesn't mean you gotta condescend Clarence for getting his dick sucked.
Yeah and Clarence did sound nervous when he was telling his story. He's only 12 years old and got his dick sucked. You'd be pretty excited to tell that story too.
