I agree. I love taking pics, it adds to my night. I also love having keep-sakes to look back on.

The vids are more for me than anyone else (to look back on when i retire from the scene). I don't understand why this would annoy anyone, unless they're in them and don't want to be. My vids are only of the DJs anyway, so i can't see this being a problem.

I 100% agree with the no pics/vids after 2AM argument. AND, I myself not too long ago had to tell a certain club photographer to remove several VERY drunk and unattractive pics of me from facebook. I was angry that I even had to msg them. They SHOULD have had the common courtesy to delete them, and not post them. They were all pics that i was NOT aware were being taken of me, which is what infuriated me the most. They did take them down though, which i appreciated, but they never should have posted to begin with. That is my only issue, i don't post unflattering pics of ppl, and i expect the same from others.

BUT, you can't tell ppl not to take pics...... Cameras exist for EVERYONE, not just pros. Sorry.

I was lucky that when I started hitting parties the friend who brought me into the whole scene was a photo addict and he'd always have a camera at all the parties we hit up. Since many events didn't allow cameras we found this cheap camera ($20) (non-disposable) that took damn good pictures considering its cost. We'd split up the batteries/film amongst the group so that if security ever bitched about bringing in the camera we'd take out the battery and/or film from it and hand it over and then just re-stock inside. :) From all that effort we have thousands of meaningful party pics -- you know, from the good 'ol days - back when you had to pay to develop ALL your photos so you were forced to selective of what you took a pic of/how you framed your shot. Hell, I met my gf from a pic we took way back at my 2nd rave in '99 and then I recognized her 6 years later at a party.

Also - what StereoPrincess said couldn't be more accurate - there was always CRAZY going on at raves back then that would NEVER have happened in front of this facebook/digital cam world....

I'm all for photos in clubs as long as they're respectful in terms of what pics they post. Excessive sketch especially... It's not so bad these days but a few years ago some of the pics ppl were proud to have posted made me shake my head, lol.
