When I watched the first episode I wasn't that drawn to it, it wasn't till my girl at the time went and started watching the rest a couple weeks later that I really got into it. It gets SO much better after the first couple of episodes...
NOTE: I saw episode 8 last night finally, a lot going on but I still want to know so much more in every one. With so many storylines happening each one only progresses a little bit every time .....

Rouge wold decimate the vampires if they tried to attack or capture her.
Not even Godric could stand up to Rouge..
She has superhuman strength, stamina, durability, and can fly for F's sake! ;)

Whoa -- I'm just putting together that Anna Paquin who plays Sookie also was the actress who played Rouge in X-Men! Mind (how did I not realize this before, lol?)
