By the time I started on the scene, glowsticks were already on their way out, so all this talk about them made me wish I was there to experience it when I wasn't as jaded.
Then seeing the pics above made me realize how ugly it can be.(not to say that it's all like that) |

well I'm glad to see another thought-provoking thread turned into mindless over some pictures. :rolleyes:
I guess we can close the book on this one : glowsticking or light shows should be taken to a separate room where we can keep these "light loving animals" separate from the "elite clubbers" who don't want to be exposed to that type of "light pollution". :D
Anyhow, I must say that this issue is hot here in USA because of the drug-using overtones and stigma that light shows apparently carry. Though I have to say that I enjoy moving lights even when im sober, and in europe and other parts of this world people don't look down upon it as much and as heavily as we do.
Furthermore, I guess in Europe and other parts of the world people simply don't get as f'ed up as we Americans apparently do. They have something called "being responsible for oneself" . I guess it IS TRUE that USA consumes 75% of the worlds illicit drugs and we are only 5% of the worlds population... |
