There are a few actors who have become so big that I can't buy them in a role other than themselves anymore. Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks in particular. I watch Da Vinci Code and it's about Tom Hanks, not whatever the character's name is. Ruins the movie for me. Not that it needed any help being ruined, but you get my point.
