i got sooo bored that at 3:30 i couldnt take it anymore so i left

I didn't like Alain Vinet at all either - I wish I had spent more time recovering from Piknik and slept until 4-5 then showing up for 6.

Was really starting to enjoy myself at around the 6-7am mark, but was starting to run out of steam and headed back to my hotel - wish I had slept until 5, showed up at 6 and stayed later.

Stereo blew my mind. They put a lot of money and energy into that place. Stereo V2 is such an upgrade, it's incredible. And all the volunteers that helped out, wow, such a sense of community. If that ever happened to Guvernment for example, do you think people would give a to help out?

Roger Sanchez stole the show that weekend. I didn't expect much from him, but I was blown away.

The layout is pretty cool, and the way things are laid out - it just feels like you are in one big sound-box, can't even see the bars/etc, just levels of people dancing their assess off and massive speakers.

Only complaint is the washrooms - I hope that situation improves.

I wouldn't want people helping....the liability issues are too great.

Me too!!!

What an amazing weekend. Stereo Saturday and Sunday was amazing. Such a great vibe both nights.
Then the Monday party was a perfect way to end the epic weekend. Audiofly back to back with Clive Henry was just unreal. They had the place in shambles. Adam Beyer finishing off the night was such a treat.

I am still in shock how great this weekend was. I miss Montreal already.

Review for Stereo Sunday (Roger Sanchez):

After returning to the temple after a long time, i was instantly blown away, they put so much effort, time and money into that place that it looks completely different. Hardwood floors, two massive screens to the left and right, new system, new DJ both (which is sick) its basically what my friend said, "this is the stereo of 2080 lol" looks so slick, new...totally mindblowing. Although I have to say it lost its underground stereo feel, but im sure they did that on purpose, no complaints really

Music:

I honestly should have saved my first Stereo experience for a DJ that I knew would be good, got there as soon as it opened and Alan Veint or wtv was horrid, well if your into lounge music for the first half of the set and then gay house, then you were in luck (I should have expected that kind of music, opening weekend at stereo. Only song that i liked, and very suprised that Alan played was michel cleis - La Mezcla

Roger:

first hr or so he had to transition from the gay house of Alan and keep catering to the clientele that was there, so wasnt for me. at around 7 he started dropping bombs, I was getting into it, but cramped out and had to go home...it was a shame i had to wait till 7 to start getting into it, next time

ONE THING THAT WAS BAD:

and i hope nobody gets offended is that it seemed like the left-right rule at stereo doesnt really exist anymore, dont get me wrong, i truly dont care if gays are there at all, actually they add to the vibe that i love but the old stereo i liked when the left-right rule on the dancefloor was respected, i dont like when im walking and i get my ass grabbed

anyways

another thing, but im sure its because of the fire, is the washroom situation, the line went to the stairs...funny thing is that i bet 80 percent of those ppl were in line to go flip

all in all: HAPPY STEREO IS BACK WITH A BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome.

You know if we own more than one cat each, they'll make us dance on the right side of the dancefloor ....you know that, right?? :p

Stereo the Sat night before S&D??? :)

I heard some of the washrooms weren't fully operational yet, hense the massive lines. If u had a stamp, you could go to the McDonald's next door after 6AM.

Harjinder is still having night sweats about SketchDonald's :p

already.

Agreed. I had a huge weekend too and the Monday party was just perfect to end it, although it took a while for people to make it there (not more than 1000 came I would say) and for the music to be really good.

The improvised tag team with one half of Audiofly and a late Clive Henry completely blew my mind. Some of the best tech house I've heard in a long time. They set the bar really high for Beyer but he totally delivered as well. Buttrich was good too, extremely rich and textured beats but it wasn't the right timeslot for a live like that. Tiga....no comments...

I didn't go to Stereo though. I will wait for everything to be in place first. I only want to see the finished product.

I left at 10:30 and Beyer hadn't come on yet.

Really wanted to catch Beyer, but I was just too exhausted. I should have rested longer from Stereo and showed up later - but got there by 5pm or so. Wish I had known the set times before heading out.
