We're not all living in America (great tune, though): Most of the world lives, or wants to live, in the "West" (a world of science, liberal democracy, and capitalism). Though quite a few countries feel free to borrow just certain aspects, that is, not all countries became democracies after being exposed to the Western world.
That makes Rammstein's video extremely ironic, to say the least, given the role Germany has played in the History of the so-called West. And, personally, I couldn't care less. If democratic countries are less likely to go to war against one another, then that's the world I wish everyone could live in.

I am pretty sure this song was written as a criticism of globalization and the English used throughout it is a satirical point made about "Denglish" which is English filtering into Deutsch and all kinds of anglicisms are created.
They are against American culture as the dominant one - I don't think it was written as an anti-war thing, specifically.

that being said russia would not do such a bold move imo. They are more concentrated on expanding their economical horizons than risking starting a world war.
Most of russia's political bravado is nothing but a bargaining chip as an international power. A war with lithuania would possibly be more stupid and senseless than the war in afganistan. The problem is pakistan ffs, not the 3rd world country beside it.

the conflict with georgia is because they don't want them in nato. nato has 0 obligation to defend the state and if it does so it could be considered as a declaration of war against russia. No one wants this. once again political bravado and nothing more. Russia is saying to the world "hey guys, you better listen to us, because we are still here"...and nothing more.
there could be no excuses made that would not simply break an international treaty.
i agree with the treaty too, that being said america was not attacked by afganistan, therefore i do not believe my country men should die fighting a war that is so pointless because of politics. Nothing is being accomplished at all here, and if this is just to be able to have a base of operations for a future conflict with pakistan then it is even more stupid.
a war can not be won against pakistan. Eliminate terrorism through home security, not by sending soldiers to fight an enemy that does not obey the rules of war.
Unless they nuke pakistan there is no way of winning that war...absolutely none.
