Liquified, Opera and NATC would like to offer their sincere apologies to everyone that was inconvenienced, especially to the few people that had bought tickets and could not get into the Tiesto event last Saturday.
The main reason for the problem was that we could not open the doors at 9PM due to the fact that the massive frames and towers brought in for production needed to be properly secured, and were not at this time, which was a huge safety issue, so we could not open doors until these towers were completely secured.
The production company was brought in from Orlando to do the show as there was not a company that could meet the huge production needs locally. Upon arrival to the venue at 6AM, the production company had to deal with unforeseen obstacles inside the venue, that were effecting the construction of the massive frame trusses, hence the delay. Tiësto, Tiësto's production team and management were not to blame for any of the issues that occurred.
Liquified have a 15 year history organizing events, and have done 6 events at this venue in the past and never had any issues. At an event of this size there will always be a long wait in in long line. Once production was secured, we opened the doors at 10:30PM and by 12:30 we had processed over 4000 people who were inside to experience a truly amazing show. The crowd of ticket and non ticket holders who were outside after 12:30, were getting very frustrated at the long wait, and unfortunately one of them threw a bottle at the window, which caused panic and commotion among the crowd, and the on duty police officers were very concerned and called the riot police. Upon arrival the riot police proceeded to clear the crowd outside, because of public safety issues.
After spending a good deal of time working with the Lead officer on duty we were able to convince him to allow people to enter the
building. We were even granted permission to stay open an hour later in order for Tiesto to play an extended 4 hour set.
If you had purchased tickets and were not allowed to enter please contact the ticketing company from whom you purchased your ticket from and they will be handling refunds in a case by case basis. Again we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to anyone and once you contact the ticket company and you have received your refund the ticket company will be contacting you with a chance to see another show for free.

I'm curious, though.
Having done SIX EVENTS at this same venue before, you've obviously used a production company other times, correct?
Was the one brought in this time around someone totally new?
And to say that there isn't a local company that can handle a production of 4000-5000 people....mmmmmmkay. Have to call "shenanigans" there...

| Forgot to explain why there was no line management at all. Also, why parking cost 20 bucks when it first started out at 10. Oh, and why security was taking 20 bucks to "cut" line. |

Yeah, thanks for the info and the free ticket offer, at least, but it does raise as many questions as it answers, including those mistiso listed.
- "The few people that had bought tickets and could not get into the Tiesto event last Saturday?" The few hundred, you mean?
- If this production company could handle such a massive event, why was there only one open entrance, and why was this entrance understaffed?
- Are you saying the construction and delayed start were the only reason for the 3-hour wait? Doesn't this mean that even without the 1.5-hour delay, we still would have waited ... 1.5 hours?
- Who was responsible for the $20 "express ticket" extortion and ticket sales at the door, which compounded the problems?
- Why were glowsticks confiscated at the door?
- What's the story behind the pepper spray on the dance floor?
- Opera wasn't involved with the security or admission process? Where'd that rumor come from?
I'm not trying to be an ; I'm just a loyal-yet-confused customer who'd rather not repeat this experience. |

Okay thats a fair explanation how about the Cut line passes? and the parking being switched to $20 from $10? I know opera was invovled in that show but y'all didn't have to run it like Opera. Cut line passes hmm almost sounds like a damm conspiracy. You have to pay extra on top of the ticket fee's to get in with the tickets you bought?? hmm doors open 2 hours later soon as they open cut line passes are being sold from by the owner of opera and the promoters of opera for $20 a pop and being sold like hot cakes... Very Professional no one does that at shows no matter where you go. This was worst then the last time Tiesto came to the NATC where the lines were long and we had to tip the security guy to make it in. This time was just plain chaos. And people that couldn't afford had to pretty much go home. Not professional I would rather go out of town to see a show then go to anything at Opera and anything ran by Liquified. Pure greed is whats there. |

I'm still confused as to why people are still demanding more of an explanation after realizing OPERA helped run the event. I mean, seriously, who hasn't been offered to cut lines by paying an extra $20 or by purchasing a VIP table? Who hasn't waited in line an hour to realize there are 50 people inside the club? Who hasn't been to Opera and had something negative to say regarding their security and staff?
I'm not worried about this event, I just want to know when Liquified will QUIT USING OPERA. I think we've all come to agree we'd probably rather see these DJ's perform in a retirement home than Opera.
... and you all should be glad GCPD didn't shut the whole thing down after the bottle incident that injured that chick. As a resident of Gwinnett Co for most of my life, I must say I'm really shocked that a) the gig wasn't shut down, and b) half of you didn't spend the night in jail.
Liquified made a mistake, but I think the blame really needs to lay on whatever idiot threw the bottle. That's what got your riot police out, not Liquified. |

Hope that you realize how much you are lying to people but all truth will come out shortly about what happened at the Tiesto show and other shows and I believe that you should start eating your nails... Many people witnessed how a lady got hit with a glass bottle in her head and she was bleeding all over, you probably forgot that the ambulance treated her wounds and they took her to emergency. Do you really believe that you will get away with all that happened that night? I sincerely believe that you will not. We all also know how you operated at other shows, your "ways" and all will be taken out to the press and in court. Do you realty believe that just "a few" people did not get in?? How wrong you must be! There were thousands with purchased tickets that did not get a chance to enter and waited for more than 4-5 hours in that mess, people driving from all over the surrounding states. But, I hope you will get what you deserve! What happened that night will get you big time, I just feel sorry for all the people that got injured and for all the pain the rest had to endure. |

Yes, the few hundred, that is what was meant.

The entrance was not understaffed for ticket check in. This is how the door has always worked there. We have run 8000 people into this venue that way. Its really the only way to do it at the Trade center with the way the building is laid out. Also We were working on a new system with remote scanners outside that fed info back inside to the computer. Thats why it appeared inside the door that there was lack of people checking people in.

No it wouldn't of been an hour and a half wait. With the doors opening up an hour and half late it built the line more then it would of normally been. Had those doors opened up on time the crowds would of ushered in a ton faster.

To my knowledge this was a random act from a patron.

Security was the same hired security that has worked every event we have ever done at NATC in the past 9 years if doing events there. With the late start it caused a major bottle neck issue that would of never been there had the doors opened on time and the flow of the crowd moving as it always has there. |
