We could very well survive on just tofu and vegetables. .. see my previous post above this one. |
Truthfully, you don't even need the tofu; however, you may want to throw some grain into the mix.
As for killing the dolphins; it definately didn't look like the most humane hunt I've ever seen.
Anybody know how much a dolphin skin briefcase would run me? |

I'll also add, that cows, chickens, pigs, cannot understand death, or that their death is imminent. |
I call bull. There's no way you can possibly know that unless you are one of said animals. |

Put them in front of a mirror. The result will be they won't even know it's them in the mirror. They are not aware of oneself. Therefore, they cannot possibly understand their inevitable death. Beings such as monkeys, hominids, dogs, dolphins, and whales do pass the mirror test, and so can be said to be aware of oneself. Awareness of oneself should be the deciding factor here. Dolphins have been known to commit suicide and experience depression. An animal with this level of self-awareness should not be slaughtered.

Dude, thank you, I have been looking for a way of justifying the holocaust and you provided me one.
I mean as long as things are killed in a controlled way it is no more or less morally reprehensible right? |
Ok first of all you are completely retarded linking killing of animals for food, whatever they may be, to killing of humans for genocide. That doesn't even make sense! I might as well compare the use of Bug zappers to the dolphin slaughter in Japan, at least it would make more sense than your argument. |

Interestingly, children under the age of 18 months do not pass this mirror test either; subsequently, you must contend that the slaughter of infants is acceptable.
*** note - I don't give a rat's ass about animals... hell, I'd kill a dolphin for s and giggles... just pointing out the logical inconsistancy in your argument. |
