The memory stick option is the best thing around. I use CDJ400s at home and not needing to burn CDs or hook them up to a laptop is a Godsend :D

Ok so there's plenty of things to improve with a better screen and all those sorts of features but it really does make playing new tracks so much simpler.

I still prefer CDs over memory stick, because I know how reliable memory sticks can be. :haha:

The thing is, i saw him on Thursday night up here in Brissy and yes he did it CDJ and non Ableton mixing but why are people raving on about how it's the old Sasha?

I did not hear him drop any Little Bullet, Spooky, Leftfield ch00ns.

It's not the oldskool Sasha we all know and love.

Kris Menace & Lifelike - Discopolis is not a classic tune! It's a quality tune but not a classic :P

Although, spinning the new Henry Saiz tunes is still worth it =)

He didnt drop Xpander up here either nor the 16 Bit Lolitas remake of it which is pure bliss!! Perhaps he did at the Sydney and/or Melbourne nights.

No Belfunk, no Wavy Gravy... :P

When I was talking about "the old Sasha" I wasn't referring to him playing old/classic tracks :p

Sasha used to be a really interesting DJ to go and see, not because of classics, but because he really knew how to put a set together. He used to actually push the envelope, and create a wicked club atmosphere. Not for a while now though, hence all the nostalgia from people who've gone to see him when he was good.
Mr Moss
that vid is awesome
Trance Nutter
Damn that looks like a mega night.

Of course, Sasha isn't coming to Adelaide. (Sash would have been booked, Sasha no)

ahh yes, Sasha sets usually flow really well despite his different style these days :) and yes i like the type of atmosphere he brings in a club environment, thats why i prefer him at a club night vs. a festival.

having said that, there are quite a few many more djs now out there that have a better track selection and put together their set better than Sasha imho, one person i can say is Hernan Cattaneo. :)

Hernan's gig in 2009 at the Family will always be one of my most cherished gigs I'll ever have been to. it was 5hrs of pure bliss in the top room very intimate, even Hernan was looking around the crowd feeling the vibe and dropping the tunes. he always keeps scanning the crowd at every single person and he delivers.

if i can recall correctly Hernan even said in his thankyou speech for DJmag award that his best gig of 2009 was The Family, Brisbane!

=)

Jam & Spoon - Odyssey To Anyoona
GrimReaper
No.

It's not Jam & Spoon's original but a prog remake, 8 Ball - Oydyssey To Anyoona Sasha's been playing recently. Released on Used And Abused. I still laugh when i see the title of the remake featuring an additional "y".

Light The Fuse
lol - safe to assume 7 cities was just a big ripoff?
RebeL9
Funny. Digweed have been playing not one but TWO Union Jack tracks recently:
