WIGHNOMY BROTHERS:
After headlining the MUTEK festival last year, there was much talk about bringing them over to the US, but no one could seem to make it happen. Founders of the acclaimed label Freude am Tanzen and Musik Krause labels distributed by Kompakt, Robag Wruhme and Monkey Mafia are finally coming to the US with Visas in hand. The two have been freinds since 1989, suposedly meeting in a breakdance circle, but have been Wighnomy Brothers since 1997. Wruhme and Maffia cut their DJ skills at the Thüringer Club, and they are currently residents at Club Kassablanca, both in Jena, where they reside. The Wighnomy Brothers’ music is self-described as “raving with reason”: sometimes cheerful and sometimes dark, together or solo the pair make minimal techno that punts straight for the dancefloor. The eclectic pair have definately made a name for themselves as amazing DJs playing extended sets, while showing the crowd jsut how much fun they are having behind the decks. As owners of a record store as well, these guys really have the full spectrum covered, as they are truely in it for the music.

INNERVISIONS LIVE:
Few people in dance music remind you why you got into the business in the first place. Any interaction with the Innervisions crew will do just that, remind you about that love of music. Innervisions live is made of up both members of AME (Frank and Kristian), Dixon, and Henrik Schwartz. The live show is a combination of Henrick on the computer and keyboards, dixon playing loops over the CDJ's, and a meadly of keyboards and Ableton mastery from the AME boys, all going at once. This is a true four piece deep house music "band" that is not to be missed, if you are even lucky enough to experiance it in your city. Playing only select dates around Europe after headlining the Amsterdam Dance Event last season, Innervisions Live: A Critical Mass will be making two select stops in NY and Detroit for the DEMF. The 3 acts alone have been some of the most indemand DJ's and Live performers, but to have all 3 on one stage is nothing short of magic.
Once a year there comes a time to celebrate getting older, and what better way than to throw a party to set the standard for the rest of the year. As BLK|Market and Uddermadness celebrate their 3rd birthdays together, they bring two of the biggest acts in dance music to the same show. No one is as important to us than our loyal clubgoers who have supported us over the years, so this is our way of saying thank you, you're the best!

Nicolas Matar’s diverse musical style encompasses everything from Deep House, Soulful House, Nu-Jazz, Techno, to Disco Classics. While, Willie Graff is known for spinning an array of house music genres while incorporating a deep, moody and minimal style.
Tedd Patterson’s maniacal, hypnotic, deep, and percussive Vibal house sounds will take you back to that ever nostalgic underground vibe that everyone is trying to re-catch these days. His Vibal parties, at New York's Cielo, is a capacity crowd of multi-ethnic and poly-amorous fashionistas, pretty boys, old school house heads, legendary children, and curious party crashers. Surely he will take us all in a journey past, present and future.
Legendary dj/producer/remixer Danny Krivit will be taking his Body & Soul fresh, deep cut, hypnotic tunes to the beach this Memorial Day. With over 35+ years of experience and a slew of residencies, Danny Krivit has left his mark in clubs throughout New York City. Danny is still on top with his current residency with 718 Sessions.
West End Records very own Kevin Hedge aka Blaze is all too familiar with being across rivers. Growing up in Newark, NJ, he always dreamed of making it across the river in Manhattan. This legendary dj/producer with such immense releases like De’Lacy Hideaway sold more than 3 million copies worldwide. Co-founder and part owner of Club Shelter which hosted legends like Timmy Regisford and Freddy Sanon, Kevin Hedge is a legend of his own right in dance music history.
This Memorial Day our very own NYC DJ legends will perform their legendary sounds to all. Summertime sunshine, hot dogs, hamburgers and children doing hula hops on the dancefloor. This will be a packed house with a sound system that clearly fits the setting by Gary Stewart. A summer kick off not to be missed where all four legendary DJs will be shinning as brightly as the summer sun at Water Taxi Beach.
