No having a go Sako, but I'm with Jive on this one - how do you get to the point where you can engineer and produce a track without knowing that it is physically impossible for mono to have width?

Anyone who wants to know more, check this excellent thread on it (and don't be lazy, read it all the way through!)

There is however one mistake in that it is mentioned numerous times that clubs are mono (which is not true - see my earlier posts in this thread regarding that.)

Sticky for this me think Digi;)

I have no clue about mastering , I belive its about the volume , so I would get someone to do it for me.
I have enough on my plate with learning and perfecting production without faffing around with an extra bit which can fook up a tune.

But i ask a question which might sound silly , but why do you have to master in the first place?

sorry im a mastering noob

I love how people talk down Prydz as if what he does is nothing special, yet countless numbers of people rave about how well his tracks sound technically and how every track with a rather basic and quite similar structure can always be such a bomb on the dancefloor, on the radio and in living rooms everywhere.

That my friends is the definition of talent and natural ability. Try as much as you may like, every once in a while someone is born with an ability to do things better than others. We see it sport, music, film, whatever.

if you watch closely on second track from right which is master out in logic he has 7 different plugins. So he definetly uses lots of stuff in master chanel. Which makes the whole his sound.
All we have to find out now, what are the plugins:)

I don't know what you mean about people talking down about Eric?

He himself admits the elements of his tracks are simple, each one by themselves, but the magic is how they combine and compliment each other. It's simple things done well.

@notle - his master chain plug in list aint going to make you sell records like him, and even if you did know them, what use would that be to your specific sound. Anyway, two of them are probably analysers and one of them is probably a mono plug.

lol maybe should find another forum then - RANN is spot on as usual, whats on Prydz's Master channel isnt the reason he is a top producer - there is no magic bullet
