It is at list a little bit cool he talks to the fans on it though.. probably purely for marketing reasons though. |

| if i remember correctly, this album was supposed to be the follow up to ET and the one after that would kinda be TBU 2, which may help explain the poppier vibe of this album, as others have described it since i have yet to hear it. while i enjoyed ET, it pales in comparison to how much i enjoyed TBU. Trifonic I felt did a good job implementing BT's glitchiness in a more electronic setting, where as BT goes for multi-genre tracks. |

TBU was supposed to follow up ET but the original form of it was a double cd with some tracks even longer they are on TBU now.
Unfortunately the course of both TBU and THM got changed due to the mysterious multiple burglaries to BT's studio and loss of most original masters and whatever other issues he was having in his life at the time. In the original timeline THM was supposed to follow up TBU exactly six months after it and be the dancefloor counterpart, featuring tracks style and sound wise reminiscence more of BT's pre-ET albums instead of all the "hip" crap there's now.
BT decided to go on with totally different soundscapes and ideas instead of recreating the lost nostalgic tracks from scratch. For example A Million Stars with Kirsty Hawkshaw on THM is totally different than what the original version was years ago. |

Yeah, I had read that a lot of his stuff got stolen, including some expensive and sentimental musical equipment. All the hard-drives and what not that got taken had all the stuff he was going to put out after TBU, as Grim said. I remember a few articles talking about that so he speaks the truth. I can only imagine some of the other stuff he had stored away, which no one will ever get to hear.
This is why it took so long for this album to come out. Not only that but his ex had kidnapped their kid too and a bunch of hit the fan there. That added more push back to his album. I suppose he got subjected to different things since then and decided to go a different route with THM.
Le Nocture De Lumiere is still my favorite track on there though. |

Yeah I agree, the first 20 minutes wasn't doing too much for me either.
Wait,do you mean the whole album, every single track down to the last minute of disc 2? |

Somehow I doubt that.. with the loads of movie scores, games, apps, and other productions he does.. money I doubt is a forefront of his priorities.

In his interviews he puts it out there that he isn't as well off as you'd think. He really comes off as a nice guy with real passion for what he does but I don't know how he s up the end product (especially with his talent). :conf: |

He has plenty of money. I was reading his twitter a few weeks ago in anticipation for this album (no I don't use twitter, it's on his homepage) & he took a vacation in Aruba with his daughter. He's got plenty of shiny, expensive equipment:
