Well, I was just giving my straight-up opinion of their top 10 albums. If that's what makes me those words you typed, so be it I suppose. I'm not sure I'm as cool as you are making me out to be, though. |

I had to bump this.
I was just browsing through the top 50 tracks and I found Major Lazer - Pon De Floor [number 35 track out of all of 2009] on dailymotion. I watched it, and I almost puked. Do people really dance to this? Someone on RA had to listen to that and come to the conclusion that it is a top track of 2009. I find that amazing. I think this discredits RA greatly as an noteworthy dance website.
This is your #35 best dance track of 2009 my fellow people of Earth.

I didn't think they had any credibility to lose in the first place. This list is voted by the staff/contributors, not the users. |

| I'm surprised you people haven't heard of Major Lazer already. The album has been pretty big this year - even Pitchfork have been giving it attention. |

| Jesse Somfay's artist album should have been on the list. |

pfork were bound to love it. it's a collab between two of the biggest hipster producers in recent years (diplo and switch).
i suppose dancehall is only ok if it's an ironic take on it produced by white people. :o |

What he said.
However, I must admit I danced my ass off when Appleblim dropped I'll Make Ya a couple of months back. It sounds great pitched down towards crunk levels of slowness. The whole Major Lazer-album in general has the same tendency as Diplo and Switch's solo material: good once all the stupid is left alone. |

Granted, but Mixmag were wanking all over it, I heard 2 Many DJs drop a Lazer track and they're even featured on the new FIFA. General indicators that it was one of the biggest albums of the year. |

Not a problem. Try to check out 'Good Morning Strange Light' & 'Ex Astris, Ad Astra', both are massive.

His first artist album (Between Heartbeats) in also very good.

RA rated his album quite high but it didn't make the list. I always thought Somfay was one on electronica's best keep secrets. |

| I must be out of the loop... pretty much all I've heard on both those lists is Fever Ray. |
