I appreciate your analysis and perspective but how can you say the Mole "For The Lost" is a snoozer when you bolded 2 other boring classic house/disco tracks? Makes no sense to me :)

As much as i rather agree to some of you in certain points when listening to these tracks (some have their charm), i can't stand the lack of some melody, funkyness or other creativeness than only some driving pads, hi-hats and sampled drumloops.

Well obviously 'boring' is going to be subjective, but I am willing to bet that the vast majority of human life on earth would agree that those two tracks are 10X more fun and interesting to listen to than the mole track with an anemic 4 note bassline, one percussion loop, abrasive filtered noise, and arrangement that goes absolutely nowhere. The title says it all. This track is for people that have lost sight of what music is.
It sounds like someone's ableton froze for 10 minutes.
In a way it's similar to Freeki MF, with the laid back, delirious, repetitive up and down bassline, spliffy ambiance, but freeki mf is just light years beyond in terms of sophistication, finesse, sound quality, humor, sex, just about every really category.
The only reason people like this track is because of the high they get when it's finally over.
This track is like the music that comes on when you hit the start button to pause during a nintendo game, or it would make a great hold song for a bank or airline's phone support service. I wonder how many deejays play this track and then go for a bathroom break.

I have freeki mf and tbh that whole release is not my style. I dont understand why people go so ape over moodymann. He's original yes w/ the disco/funk influence and the raspy vocals but the tunes on that release do nothing to create any type of emotional reaction in me whatsoever.
I'd much rather listen to that Mole track than Freeki. It hypnotises very well. I see that you edited your original post, I'm guessing bc you went and listened to it again it probably grew on you a bit ;)

Lol that is about the last reason why KDJ is original, given that this is a tradition in detroit. KDJ does a great live show that comes from a true jazz perspective, not this bull sample-a-saxophone tripe that comes with most of the shiny new 'deep house' and tech house tracks. His tracks are produced in the same live manner.
