After Trance i got caught up in that mid-late 00's minimal mediocrity thing. Then i became a music addict again, with the same traits i had when i was but an EM rookie: Opportunistic and willingly oblivious.

trance -> minimal -> techno/house/deep house -> experimental/neo-classical/ambient.

Used to be into all types of trance, but today im much more picky listen to a lot of trouse =], not into pys or other heavier forms of the style.

Started to like various types of house. I would like to get into techno but meh it still not my thing.

around 2003-2004 I moved on to "prog", then a few years later discovered a whole world of rock music (most of it Grungey or angry), which I had previously not really listened that much to. Years went by, leading me eventually to phases of Goa Trance, Hiphop, newer Prog Rock, Downtempo, Psybient, "Indie" rock, Alt rock, Shoegaze, 60s-70s Prog Rock/Psy Rock, Triphop, Instrumental Hiphop. They've all stuck and now I pretty much listen to everything of the above.

E.g. the song that just finished on my music player was The Immortal Lee County Killers - Rollin' Stone, and now Incredible String Band is soothing me with their "Koeeoaddi There".

One thing that has changed during the past 4-5 years is that I mostly listen to albums, not single tracks. Though if I find a single track I love from an album, I will occasionally just put that on and let the rest of the album play or start on another album.

Happy hardcore -> Hardstyle -> Trance -> Progressive -> Electro house -> Minimal -> Techno -> Tech house -> Deep house -> Nu disco

Currently I enjoy the last four.

I've found so much non electronic music in the last few years.
Trance will most likely always be the music I listen to when I don't feel like anything else but it's gone from dominating my music player to being a minority.

Wow, you leave a thread for three years and look what it becomes.

I've gone through periods of listening to and DJ'ing most specific genres of EDM. Now I just listen to and spin whatever the feels right. There's no sense in pigeon-holing yourself into a couple of genres at a time, that just ends up becoming boring as .
