I still listen to trance but holy ass am I picky about it. :p
I've moved on to classical (TRANCE IS GREATEST GENRE INSPIRED BY CLASSICAL MEDLODY!), big fan of Brahms and Schumann at the moment and I'm starting to pick up on Wagner.
I like my house funky and a bit uplifting (read: Fred Everything); all of that tech/tribal/prog/mnml/dirty/wobbly/latin stuff usually just filters through my head...
Also soundtracks to the vidya because I am a disgusting neckbeard... |

i started with Hardstyle, hard trance and psy moved to trance, moved to detroit techno, again to trance (2008) and now i'm starting to enjoy the german techno which i considered repetitive noise but now... i like it xD and melodic psy again.
I've noticed than where you are young you like high pitched music, i saw it myself and see it on local kids but when you grow you prefer groovy and darker stuff, same with drinks, you don't like beer and wine and prefer sugar drinks but when you grow you like beer too much XD |

| Started off with Euro Dance.. then trance for a while. Then as I grew older, I delved into deep house and breakbeat. Or whatever else that tickles my fancy. Very picky with choosing trance these days as well. |

| Started from classical/rock/eurodance then adding goa trance/ambient/ then adding almost all other forms of psy as well, some house, some jazz occasionally. My favorite among these is ambient. |

| Music has always been a development process for me. I started out listening to trance from 96-2001 then went into techno. From there I've dabbled in hard house, prog, tech-trance, minimal, nu-disco and more recently more house-orientated, deep-house in particular. I'll always have a fond love for techno and all it's sub-genres; going back to artists that I missed whilst growing up. I've always loved ambient/chill-out and downtempo stuff too. My horizons have definetly broadened over the years and it's all part of the process. I enjoy all kinds of music really! :) |

| epic/melodic/uplifting trance -> prog -> chillout -> no electronica for a while -> lately into gypsy jazz, swing, balkan beats. Just found sasha - wavey gravy on youtube today. Listening to Xpander now. omg still classic. |

seems these days one only has time for music if one wants to be part of some scene, aka spin, produce, perform, etc. one needs a whole lifetime for it. everything else, like reading, or social life, step back.
for me, went from hard trance to everything at once. as much whacked out stuff as i could get from any genre. now, it's almost entirely ambient with techy beats. i always return to pre-'01 trance once in a while |
