How much after ATT discount?

This is the third Apple product in a row that they announced that has been absolute garbage IMO (iTouch 3GS, new Nano, now iPad).

First off, what is the is the purpose of this?

It's basically a $629 iPhone with the same ripoff data plan per month.

And on top of that:

- It has no flash
- It has no camera
- It doesn't have the small size to be useful as a portable media player
- It doesn't have even close to the amount of the hard drive size you get with a netbook at only a fraction of the price
- It has a worse battery life than the iPod Touch or iPhone
- The eBooks cost just the same, if not more, than on Amazon
- And on...and on...

This is Apple TV 2.0.

This was never meant to be a full on computer like the past Windows tablets were. This is mainly to suit those who do not need a "real" computer and those who want to reed their news, magazines, and books digitally.
I myself will be picking it up instead of any ebook reader out there

edit: only thing thats missing is a front facing webcam for video chat

and they seriously have to redesign the lock screen

So you're willing to spend $600+ just to carry around a digital book?
