Another track to add -
Fluke - Slap It
Matrix Reloaded anyone? The soundtrack to that movie is great! |

There's some wicked stuff been posted in this thread so far that i've never heard of before.
Discovering The Blizzard - Iselilja vocal mix is a wonderful thing. |

Most Andy Moor and most Airbase, make me want to pull more than just one finger out. |

I'm sure some people are sick of hearing about him but it's kind of hard to deny Andy Blueman's songwriting abilities, he always makes me feel like a ty songwriter by comparison.
Then there's always this:

Neither are great examples of production but a producer's technical abilities have never really inspired me all that much. |

This thread is awesomeness and should be stickied so that we all have a high-water mark to shoot for. Great idea, tehlord. |

Unfortunately they don't pump out a lot of tracks, I think they have about 5 out now. Can't wait to hear more from them tho! |

Well I thought there's plenty of discussion about the best this and the best that but music for me can be an inspiration as well as a pure enjoyment.
Another one that got me recently was Royksopp - The Girl and the Robot. Absolute perfection. |

The title of this thread bothers me. Exactly what is your finger in that you must pull it out of? And to further ask, upon pulling out your finger, is it smelly?
Sorry, I get the idea of this thread, but maybe it's just not an American thing? In America, we'd say "get off your ass" ...
And to comment on topic, I can't name a single track that has done this for me, but I find all music that I really enjoy to be inspiring. But I never feel like "oh man, this guy can do it so I'd better in get off my ass!" or anything like that. If that guy can do it, why would I want to repeat it? |

I'm creating a new genre of badge for you.
It's not about repeating it anything. It's about finding something in another track that I find excellent that makes me want to improve my own music. It could be anything, songwriting, production, simplicity, sound design or any other aspect of the track.
Perhaps you just feel you're as good as you'll ever be. |

Pretty much anything by Mango but particularly 'She was here' and 'Handelskai' and for trance Lolo 'Pop the cats adventure'.
My friend Jon always comes up with the goods too and makes me sound like , which usually sees me taking excessive time working on melodies. |
