what a great night, great friends.

markus killed it the whole way through....and i really enjoyed blakes set (as did my friends !), was also really nice talking to blake during markus' set |

It was a surreal night. I'll be honest after sutra i was a bit worried but wow, wAy to redeem yourself on the 'gran finale.' he started off banging and was relentless for about the first 2 hours until he took a more after hours type set which was awesome. At one point he was doing this hilarious dance on stage, i got it on video and will get it on here. The ending was awesome and me and my friends were in for a scare when. We thought he was going to end at 4. He played until about 515...signed autographs for a good amount of time and talked w fans. Nothing like walking outside afte an amazing club experience and seeing the sun rise..soon after Markus came out w khaz and Blake Jarrell and started joking around...Mr. Schulz haha.
All in all an epic night, I honestly don't think i could have asked for more. |

Eh, Markus didn't bang it from the beginning. Heck, Markus banged it out faster & harder from the beginning in SD just Friday and he didn't catch up to that past until past the 3am hour last night. He started off a bit slower and with bigger synths, but it wasn't banging at all that much the first 90 minutes, but you could see him leading to it. He played some big synth tracks, but banging? nah.
If you want to hear Markus bang it out, find an 18+ club party with him in where he's playing four hours. He plays harder & faster and more trancey at 18+ gigs, intentionally. Because that's how the youngins' prefer it.
That all said, if people loved him then great! (being loaded and saying he was awesome does not count). Just I've heard better from him in the past! SD's set just friday was better IMO -- the programming of his set that night was just perfect! He didn't play bad last night at all, just out of liek the 30 times I've seen him before it's no where near the top, IMO. But hey, not everyone is going to be totally blown away everytime, right? I just wasn't. I'm still just as big of a fan as I was before. The cracked-out-crowd killed the vibe a little (and don't say to move then, becasue we moved like five times and it was like the cracked out people followed us around!) and made it a little difficult to have a lot of fun while sober, but the production was top-notch! |

He had a ton of energy and great stage presence. |

| great ing set. hearing his remake of Perception feat Justine Suissa was the highlight of the night by far for me. wish he would've played perfect but hey this isnt 2008 :P |

davet - that's pretty much how i felt about thursday night haha. i was surprised at how much more room there was at avalon. at sutra i found myself surrounded by messed up people with no room to breathe whereas at avalon we found ourselves right up front along the dj booth come 1am maybe and had room to dance up there all night it was incredible.
it was nice seeing khaz jump up there with markus during dark heart waiting too, i was outside for that at sutra. |

I didn't go see Markus at Sutra on Thursday, but every time I've gone to Sutra people were packed like sardines. The venue is nicely decorated but is way too small. |
