We loved last night. Not sure if he came out bangin, slow or whatever, he had a great set, the 4 hrs felt like 2. Kris asked if it was 2 or 3AM and it wad 5AM. You know its a good time when a 4 hours set flies by. I thought there was good energy in the crowd, loud sound though, Markus danced a lot last night and some cool TAs bros dancin up close was cool. Went to breakfast afterwards and drove home at like 7AM. I agree the Sd set was the best though, and ppl there were by far the best.

Yes time definitely flew by :) Nice meeting RPT and Kris near the end of the night.

I was surprised that Markus had any energy left after his all his other shows this week. It looked like he was having fun and I liked his set since I didn't get to see him in the OC, SD or LV.

Crowd was kinda hit and miss for me. Early in the night I was caught in a mild spin cycle as I was suddenly surrounded by washers. I escaped and found room elsewhere so it was all good.

I have to upload my videos later tonight. Catching up on sleep first ;)

Had a blast last night. I tried to hide upstairs most of the night as I had a great view, but had to go down once they kicked us out.

The first 5 minutes Markus was on stage, I held up my phone with my Lakers wallpaper and rubbed it in his face, but he was a good sport about it. Later in the night I asked him Lakers or Celtics and reluctantly picked Lakers.

He brought it heavy, the man was full of energy. However, Im embarrassed at how many people were just drugged out of their minds. Once the drunks left, the energy died and all you saw were zombies. I think my friend and I were the only sober people in that entire club at 4am.

I loved the Chakalaka buildup, then he played the Style Fusion remix, then Love of Camarille, and into On a good Metropolis day. Not bad, I love Markus, no other DJ brings out the tricks and has fun like he does. And he's so damn humble and really enjoys what he does

i agree.

very humble and down to earth guy, quite the comedian too.

Oh was that guy on stage with him the guy from the Trance Energy interview? I know he looked very familiar

No doubt Markus is prob the most humble (trance) DJ right now. Hell, the first topic we usually discuss is about our children. Just being typical parents, showing off pics with each other. He really likes to talk about how tall his son is. And hell, if Devin is as tall as Markus' son is at his age, I'll be doing the same (which might happen as Devin is 99 percentile in both height & weight right now, only three but we have to shop in the childrens section for size XS and stuff!). Both our dudes are gonna be a giant!

ah this was so great - i didn't recognize the song between metropolis day and style fusion, thanks for reminding me haha! i was really happy to hear on a metropolis day...it's the kind of track that my friends who aren't really into edm could get into, which was great to see. they were all makin fun of me for singin it though :tongue2

I had a blast that night. I totally agree with everyone that Markus is humble, shows a lot of care and concern about the tracks he plays and how he treats each venue/city differently, etc.

Also I am in agreement about his energy level. He just played in OC, SD, Vegas in a row and he still brought the ruckus to Avalon. That youtube video just shows how energetic he was the whole night. Definitely kept the crowd going.

I am also in fair agreement about the crowd. By 4 am it was basically only people on drugs and the energy level dropped considerably. My friends and I had a limo till 5 so we had to leave at about 4:15 but I was happy to hear him play Perception right before we left.

Overall a great night at Avalon, good energy from the crowd until the later hour, and AWESOME setup. The visuals weren't great (Do You Dream on repeat) but the lasers and smoke/cryogenic/whatever those things blast were awesome. I was up at the front, turned, around, and the club looked crazy with most of the lasers going to the upstairs balcony.

My friends & I all loved the music and can't wait for Markus to come back to LA. I'm guessing he will be back for Monster Massive but I refuse to go to that thing anymore so maybe after that...

Agree on the visuals (poined out the screens had very neat visuals before Markus came on, but once he did it was just the do you dream logo the whole time).

The kryo was weak, barely hit any of the crowd. Compared to say 1015 or a space in Miami, it was nothing. If it was rented and installed... still... I've seen a rented kryo system completely fill up a room before, too. :)

It was having an issue though... I was under where it released once and a bunch of ice buildup spewed out on top of people...getting us wet a little. Not a biggie, but not sure if that's supposed to happen. Never seen it happen before.
