Nah, they tend to cut, hang or shoot themselves, or get hooked on a raft of prescription or illegal medications, or turn to crime as a way to cope with social ineptness, or do nothing but eat processed garbage and passively watch TV for hours on end when they get home from work and impulsively order tons of cheap they can't afford off the internet.
The difference being, these people (especially the last group I mentioned) just as often unconsciously pass their traumas on to others, particularly their own offspring. A highly conscious and self-aware monk would never do such a thing. |
