you sound weak-minded actually.

Really? People that I know with drug problems have little will power to speak of, and seemed to lack the ability to fully understand the consequences of their decisions - at least initially. You of all people should know this to be true.

I mean she was closer, but it's so easy I don't really understand how anyone could get it wrong.

Pretty sure we're the only ones that have any idea what you're talking about :p

most people don't know how to properly use drugs and end up ODing or completely brain fried, but you can't generalize everyone and say drugaddicts are weak=minded. People who are weak-minded, are close minded and judgmental, on top of it all they know all about what they are talking about. Tell me, how many drugs have you taken to come to those conclusions?
Furthermore, Weak-Willed would mean they are going nowhere in life, this can't be generalized either. You would be surprised how many drugaddicts make probably more money than you not to mention a lifestyle that is not boring.
I am not saying it is alright to be a junkie, but you should not be judgmental when you really don't know what you are talking about. ANd you can say youre will weaked-and weak minded about anyone,.

This just sounds like 5th grade knowledge, I think us adults fully understand the consequences of our actions when using drugs. You must be talking to people who are homless and shoot up under a bridge. Most people on here have decent jobs and bills always come firt.

Why do people hook-up when they take drugs?

Imagin
Escape.

escape, self destruction, those are valiable answers..but not weak minded or weak willed. lets just name a few people who wereon drugs whos legacies we still listen and study today: albert hoffman, with LSD, Freud on Cocaine, Edgar Allan Poe; Samuel Taylor Coleridge, who miserably battled his addiction to Laudanum (Opiate) for much of his adult life; Thomas de Quincey; Lord Byron; Percy Bysshe Shelley, who suffered raging laudanum-induced hallucinations; Charles Dickens; Lewis Carroll; and Charles Baudelaire. There were also political figures, such as William Wilberforce and Meriwether Lewis, who used Laudanum, not to mention a wide array of music composers and speaking of that you have poets and musicians such as jim morrison, jimi hendrix, dave gahan from Depeche Mode who relapsed 3 times on heroin and tried to kill himself, Martin gore from Depeche mode who was a huge alcoholic and the list goes on and on...Alex Grey, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol..etc etc etc

would human evolve creatively without the experimentation of drugs? probably not since every work of art thats truly appreciable was probably done under the use of some drug including about 90% if the music you listen to.

then you have the irony of alcohol being legal, one of the substances who makes you lose control of your mind and you end up either becoming addicted, making huge scenes of violence, beating your wife and kids and it is legal. Then you have those medical drugs sold by the government who can be just as addictive as you get on the streets and all you need is a prescription.
