For the same reason we do everything else.
Life is chemical dependancy. Every action, thought, feeling, and decision made is attached to a rush of chemicals onto the brain, and into the blood stream.
When you go to work and get paid - chemical high
When you eat food every day - stimulant rush
When you're listening to music - chemical high
When you go to church - chemical rush
When you're with the one you love - stimulant high
Everyone's chemically dependent in one way or another, and people's lives are just as easily ruined by socially acceptable addictions (eg. food). It's all chemical dependancy, as much as we'd like to think we're in control. Some ppl can handle their , and some ppl get hooked ;) |
