The two T's where out last night in full force...
TRANCE AND TRIBAL!!!
I haven't heard that much hard stuff in so many rooms in that building for a long time...
Chucky was playing some real, genuine, house music in the main room. It sounded so good except for his GOD DAMMED mic antics...
Shut up already dude... You're tunes were great. Don't ruin them with your screaming!!
I didn't get a chance to catch Manzone and Strong but I heard that they played a great opener..
Christina Cruise....
:eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:
That girl is gorgeous, sexy, and she was playing some incredible, hard, pounding tribal in the Orange room...
Her and Nikki Belucci tie for the HOTTEST DJ's on the planet....
I met PVD as he was getting ready to play so that he could sign an old pic of him and my wife from Guv's 7th Bday and OF COURSE didn't I forget to ask for my $2.99 back from that stupid app of his??
He played a great, pounding, trance set and the KH sounded pretty good with it's new sound set-up although the bass was a little lacking at the back of the room...
Fedde Le Grand was pretty good as well. I enjoyed his set...
I'm so happy that Dekoze is back to his old style of beats beats beats...
Many times last night, it sounded like I was in the old CZ with that music. Sooooo good....
I wandered up to the Skybar for 2 mins and it was exactly what I expected. I started to get sleepy so I headed back down to good music....
Now theres Dirty Sanchez...
The guy started off amazingly... Lot's of great big house with perfect builds and breaks... Good Nitro moments...
UNTIL about 4:30 when he started ing me up with those STUPID huge builds into NOTHING but a bass line...
That was my breaking moment and I decided to split before I started throwing stuff at him...
Overall though, it was a great party. Not too too packed with a good crowd... |

1st time in Guvernment and also first party in Toronto for me and had a great time...
was going to go there with a friend but at the last mimute he had a pb so was there on my own.
When I arrived, chuckie was playing, so I stayed like 10 minutes in the room, it was horrible! Then Fedde and Sanchez played some great tunes but chuckie was still boring the couple of times he spoke in the mic!!!
Loved when Sanchez dropped the Tocadisco-Morumbi. Been also to skybar, Carlo lio was great, and then like at 5am, saw the junkies and it was also good tunes in skybar but the sound seems to be really less loud compared to guv main, they need to invest in bigger speakers lol, so been back to sanchez, and @6am, the security told me it wasn't possible to come back to skybar , WTF! Also they closed around 7 am I think and the room was nearly packed, strange they didn't continue like 1-2hours more or something.
Anyway, it wassss really good and this big event reminded me a little space ibiza during summer on a normal day.

After they completed the renovations in 2007 I also got the same feel from the main room. :)
Glad you enjoyed your first party in Toronto. |

we have sound bylaws in this city, it'll always be the same up in the skybar |

Yes I was thinking about the main room also. I really had this feeling.
Thanks, also forget to mention but the lineup in front of the club was sooooo long around midnight, now I understand why people told me to come really early..
I cut the guestlist line at the corner to avoid 1 hour more of waiting cause was so fedup to stay in the wrong line some people indicated me when I arrived :( ... |

great friggen night out. wasn't able to leave the Kool Haus all night. Relentless stuff from both Paul and Gareth. PVD showed his skills big time last night...except for the part where the laptop crapped out on him (refer to Paco Osuna a few weeks ago).
My favorite of the night had to be Gareth Emery. Everytime I've seen him so far hes been opening for a bigger trance act (Armin, etc). This was him in his element. Banging Trance!!! |

Mark banged it out from the start, Joe and fab's set was too short...Chuckie was fun..but you Talk so much dude! lol
Heard the big silence in the KH during PVD's set and that was the Que to go back in the main room where Fedde and Roger Took over the decks and dropped bombs one after another! |

Good times last night! One of the best things about it was that the KH was not packed at all!! Nobody shoving or pushing or ppl struggling to get by every 5 seconds. Whenever I walked around the complex I noticed the Guv was RAMMED though. Didn't spend more than the 10 seconds it took to walk through the place to get to the next room. Would have loved to have seen Roger though.
However, Gareth is the ing man!!! Played an absolute bangin set from what I heard! Loved every minute of it! I said my goodbyes, and as I was about to walkout I hear Mistral and I made my way back to the front center of the dancefloor where he kept me for another 30mins or so! Hearing him drop Denis Zahn - Stranger to Stability (Lan Faki Mix) BLEW ME AWAY, then bringing in Renegade right after, Awesome! Gareth is definitely an amazing dj who knows how to drop the right bombs at the right time! ie 1998 (Alex Morpth Remix), Suburban Train (Sean Tyas Remix) etc
PVD was your typical PVD. Nothing great, he just took all his tracks and sped them up to like 150bpm so people could dance to the ty tracks he was playing lol. I'll admit, the last 30 mins of his set was good though, dropping oldschool PVD tracks :D
I won't get into the security jail search that went on, but it was great seeing everyone again though, and all the new peeps, nice to finally meet Ferg. Hope everyone had fun and let the summer begin!!! :D
edit: most surprising thing of the night... PVD actually looked like he was having a good time! :eyes: :eyes: :p |
