the most difficult thing for me is actually making sounds that i want like some of you are talking about..like im fine with using presets and changing the waves from sine saw and whatever to get what i want..but i know theres way more to it, that i just havnt touched on yet.

Yes and no. Most people only know how to make a handful of bread and butter sounds and just work from the presets to get the rest of their most complex sounds. Eventually you'll come to recognise the difference between a 2 and 4 pole filter and get a sense of where to set it and how much modulation to apply. Most of the sound is created by picking the right oscillator, the right filter settings, and getting the modulation of the filter right. There's not a lot more to it unless you're creating the crazy soundscapes.

i usually modify a preset, changing filter or oscs , for me it's easier to find something similar than starting from the ground... also some presets are very good, just some delay or minor tweak and they sound fine, got surprised sometimes by their quality

There's a lot more to it than just Oscs and Filters if you want your sounds to be interesting.

How ever much you want. There's pitch, detune, OSC levels, ADSR, phase, built in synth FX.

wavetables are most interesting imo.

Dude LoveHate are you serious? Ive not fully used the FL 3osc to its full capacity yet. People should learn to use synths better, with the right skill set, a 3osc, a 303, and z3ta would be all an artist ever needed in terms of sound engines. Its all I really use. There is only one sound I cannot make [yet] with those 3 synths, and its the formant vowl sound thingy, so I use a buzz generator called rectal anarchy...lol

Looks simple but it isn't.
