Dude LoveHate are you serious? Ive not fully used the FL 3osc to its full capacity yet. People should learn to use synths better, with the right skill set, a 3osc, a 303, and z3ta would be all an artist ever needed in terms of sound engines. Its all I really use. There is only one sound I cannot make [yet] with those 3 synths, and its the formant vowl sound thingy, so I use a buzz generator called rectal anarchy...lol |
You know the Z3ta has a formant filter? |

Yeah, but thats not exactly what I am talking about, Rectal is a "vowel" synth, like you select soprano, tenor, alto etc etc, and you select A E I O U etc etc....and it has a morph rate for the vowels.
Here are two examples ive made of the synth I am talking about.

Dunno how to make that vocal sound in any other synth :P |

Sculpture in Logic. Basically it's easy to use, but also often hard to get the sounds you want with it.
Absynth isn't bad either in its genre. |
+1 have no idea how use sculpture |

There's a lot more to it than just Oscs and Filters if you want your sounds to be interesting. |
Nah not really. The vast majority of bread and butter sounds use one or two oscillators and a filter and thats it. You might get some automation and effects going, but the actual synthesis is usually simple IME.
There might be 2 out of every 8 sounds that will use more, but generally thats it. Too many complex sounds ruin a mix. |

If I had a meter that measured idiocy, and of course adjusting the meter to allow enough headroom in case Robby decides to join in, the readings would be stunningly high. The meter would probably start beeping which would indicate that prolonged exposure will cause permanent brain damage.
Alas I did partake and submit my opinion which was correct in that FM synthesis is extremely difficult as any synth programmer will tell you but all these numbskulls posting pictures of stock subtractive synths somehow dazzled by the amount of knobs which, if they took 5 minutes to read a manual, would not be daunting in the least. Not all of you, some people made sense, but god damn, the rest. And then the crux of the entire thread. What is the ing point ?
Anyways, you will be happy to know i've made an appointment with my shrink to find out why I keep coming back to these sites voluntarily exposing myself to halfwits and their insipid toxic opinions. Those that aren't retarded know this wasn't aimed at them. And don't bother defending yourself. For one, that would identify you as being a member of said retard group but more importantly, as shown time again, the only thing you could possibly say that would get under my skin would be to insult the way Brad acts, the way Brad looks and more importantly, make fun of any of his movies. Tibet was a master piece. I remember leaving the theatres in awe wondering how they made his hair so damn handsome. Streams of golden hair flowing so free in the air.
carry on. |

I've already mentioned here many times that I have asperger's. You aren't clever. Luckily, things are relative and despite what you might call a disability, I've faired better than most people. My IQ is off the charts, I have rather abnormal musical abilities usually only encountered with people that have this disorder and although they say linguistics suffer significantly, I think my communication serves me just fine. I suppose the only real downside which I have learned to deal with in public is having to pretend and feign an emotional connection with people I couldn't care whether they woke up with rectal cancer the next morning. So all in all, I'm rather content with the package. I mean I'm no Brad Pitt with his bulging biceps and mended by god himself broad shoulders.
Everyone should see a shrink. I would say most people have so many issues they aren't even aware of. I actually don't see a shrink but rather a psychiatrist as the ratio of quack psychologists ain't pretty. I wouldn't trust my health to someone that only requires a bachelor's degree. |
