I guess you like too keep it basic, nothing wrong with that i guess.
I always felt that Jazz music is like a fish out of the water...it needs a different genre to complete it imo.

Is it humanly possible to show-off more than Lira?

I don't like to keep it basic, I just feel that what you posted has little of anything to do with Jazz. A better example would be this...

One thing that you need to understand is that Jazz relies heavily on improvisation and the music having a genuine organic, live, not-so-quantized feel to it. Stuff like what you posted is so perfectly quantized to the exact beat, so looped, so programmed and planned out that there's no sense of improvisation or soul when compared to most Jazz. Just listen to the percussion in your track, there's no swing in it. Granted, I'm not going to sit here and say that the track I just posted isn't precisely programmed or is a shining example of improvisation, but it captures more of those concepts, as well as more soul, far better than your track did.

It doesn't need it, no, but there's certainly plenty of music out there right now that would "complete it" for you.

Don't take that example so seriously, its not even one of my favorites.
But i do like that style of drum and bass for the same reasons you hate it - it gives this genre that precise structure of EDM while keeping some soul and adding atmosphere to the Jazz elements.

Regular Jazz is too scattered for me.

To each their own. :)

Lira
Thanks, everyone. And Viber, I'm already a junglist ;)

Theoretically yes. I could be loaded and show off conspicuous amounts of money in order to attract gold-digging members of the opposite sex.
