earbuds destroy your ears, really really bad. straight up sonic boom sound into your ears. |
It should be quite the opposite with in-ear earbuds. You shouldn't have to play the music as loud becuase they passively cancel the ambient noise around you. Unless, of course, you want to blast the music anyway. |

| I think I have small earholes; my earbuds always fall out. :( |

I personally would like to wear large headphones because sometimes it gets cold and it's 2 birds with one stone in that you get to feel the music better and you get ear muffs.
I personally don't care how i look and i'm probably wearing the wrong sweatshirt color for the season outside, so yes i don't mind looking extra douchey. At least I have beat up jeans which happend naturally. I didn't buy my jeans pre-beat so haha. |

I've tried all types: buds, plugs, cans, behind-the-ears, bass-vibrators (remember them?), and those crappy old-school headphones that came with walkmans. In the end, I've found that noise-cancelling cans (the ones that cup your ears rather than sit on them) are the best. Sound quality obviously, but also my ears don't get anywhere near as fatigued. In fact, with Senns, my ears have never gotten fatigued.
Call attention to me? if I care if folks notice. I'm too busy groovin' to my music.:tongue3 |

Still waiting to see someone explain why headphones make you "look like a douche." |
The one dude said something about color coordinating. But lets be honest, can doing something as innocuous as wearing big headphones make you a douche? No. Its just people making fun of other people. Makes whatever they are doing seem less douchey/cooler. Kind of pathetic actually. |

probably the same people who are afraid of v-neck shirts. |
People aren't afraid of normal v-necks. It's those deep v-necks that guidos wear to show off their pec line that people don't like.

Exactly. I have Sennheiser CX300II buds and only very loud sound gets through. |

The connector (don't know the term for it) on mine broke after about 6 months. Only plays through the right now. I had read reviews that said this was common. It is the most common reason for headphones in general to break. That goes out well before the cans do. |
