| Im not much of a gamer either but the NHL series really stepped up the last couple years. It is the only game I buy full price on release day. Once hockey season starts, thats all that is on. I get the "center Ice" cable package and watch anything hockey...if nothing is on I put this game in until I can watch more. |

on behalf of people who live in places that are hockey hotbeds...you are a breath of fresh air LEN. The world would be a better place with more hockey fans from places that only see real ice in the freezer.
bamski...if you are still alive, habs traded a farm league goalie(albeit a memorial cup winner and ex sidney crosby teammate) for this guy:

are we finnished? |

| it is stupid to trade away goaltenders when you have price as your starter. the queers of quebec will certainly be rioting a little early if that scrubber plays 60+ games. |

| how did it feel to lose last year to a team with an inferior goalie to price? :D |

NHL11 demo is sweet!
So sharks pick up Niitimaki from tampa. I hope he can help out some. Sucks that Nabokov had to go but clearly it was time for a change. Nabby goes to flyers. Bittersweet. |

haven't tried it yet.
not a bad pick up for you guys. a very decent goalie, but certainly not a game breaker. Once in awhile he will steal a game though.
welcome to salary cap land... |

| I predict that Carey Price will be the most hated man in Montreal by next New Years. |
|
|
| epicaricacy |
he already is since the halak trade.
i predict that by NYE we will still have a 23 year old goalie that has won at every level...if he sucks or is a god (that is how it works with hockey in this city) either way this is the year that the experiment is either over...or gainey/gauthier look like geniuses.
remember marc andre fleury? he sucked anus, but when he won the cup everyone shut up. Price has a better skill set/pedigree. Goalies take longer to mature, so it is put up or shut up time.

his numbers are good...the team is average at best. |

| price blows and they should have traded him when the hype was huge. |

nice troll, but i'll humour anyways.
-chl goalie of the year
-whl goalie of the year
-he won the ahl championship in his first professional season.
-he won the ahl mvp
-led canada to junior world championship gold (6-0, 2 SO, 1.41 GGA, .961 save percentage (which is beyond insane, and if memory serves me right is the best save percentage ever in the history of the tourney)
- also won a silver for canada at a the same tournament 2 years prior.
-he is the only goaltender in hockey history to be named CHL Goaltender of the Year, World Junior Championship's tournament MVP and win the Jack A. Butterfield Trophy, all in the same year. He is also the only goaltender in hockey history to win the Jack A. Butterfield Trophy the same year as playing junior.
at 23 years old he has these nhl totals:
gp = 134
w = 60 l = 48 t = 18 GGA = 2.73 save percentage = .912
all of these stats are way above league average, he plays for a mediocre team at best, he plays the hardest position in hockey ,(non debatable..posiibly even the hardest position in all sports...goalie for the montreal canadiens. there are not many teams in sport under the microscope 24/7 like the habs, and the position has always been for the lack of a better word intense.) and has still managed to do this way before the majority of nhl goaltenders have played regularly in the nhl. (can't find the stat but i believe that the average age of entry (2o games + per year at least) is around 24 years old.
not to mention he is 6'3"...but yeah i can see how he has never accomplished anything, nor why a team would want to draft a player like this.;)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc-Andr%C3%A9_Fleury
his numbers are better than this stanley cup champ was at his age...and fleury went through the same hype machine as price. when fleury matured and was surrounded by a better team, he realized his potential.
the biggest downfall to carey is that he is not mature enough yet and was rushed into the fold without properly being taken under the wing of the team. the habs made that mistake, not carey.

first, it's funny that you use the word troll. you never post anything useful in any part of the forum and there are even threads about how you are the biggest troll here.
second, if we start taking non-NHL into account then you must think chris drury is wayne gretzky along with a lot of others who have shown promise, but never amounted to anything.
he's gotten toasted in the playoffs and was responsible for getting umberger a sweet deal. queerland clamors for the next roy, but this guy isn't even brian boucher. with more playing time, his numbers will be worse. just think about when he's tired in front of that mediocre d. who is going to bail him out?
youalso bring up fleury who still sucks. he's just on a stacked team that the league favors. easier to play goalie when your team is on a constant powerplay from the no-touch rule on cindy. |

he is 23 years old, you still live in the armpit of america.
carey wins. |
