| Twilight has penetrated virtually all of us in some way. Even those who try to escape its grasp are powerless. |

| It has indeed. My friend said he's read all the books (I have no clue why he did that, but anyway) and told me the third movie/book is the only OK part of all of them. Maybe b/c of the battle between fictional characters |

I got my revenge when I made her see The Road with me.
After watching something that difficult, the 15 minute car ride home from the theater was filled with non-stop sobbing from my wife; not just teary eyes, but actual balling.
A dish best served cold, they say. :toocool: |

Making someone watch a decent movie is not exactly revenge in my book. Ahhh, the joys of marriage! :p |

lol... yeah I guess I could have worded that better. My wife is super sensitive to certain things, and I knew that if she knew what The Road was about in general, she wouldn't have gone to see it.
I underestimated the situation though- I didn't actually think she'd react that strongly. And here's where I feel like a dick: I didn't take into account that her mom died just a few months before hand. So watching the child in that movie have to say goodbye to his father like that in the end was gut wrenching for her, because her emotions were still somewhat bottled up. So after we left the movie it all came pouring out. I actually wouldn't have taken her to see it if I would have seen it first and known how it played out. |
