I just barely listened to homework front to back and I surely suffered through the process. their style is so unorthodox that it amazes me they can be put in the same league as the chemical brothers and the crystal method.

Probably. I mean, it's not that hard to recycle and filter old funk songs. It's not like they invented the wheel or something. That's not to say that their music is bad...I enjoy a lot of their stuff. I just wouldn't call them one of the greatest groups of all time.

The second half of Homework is actually kind of bland. It took mashing many of those tunes up with tracks from other albums on Alive 2007 to make them sound good.

No mention yet of Alive 1997? Listen to that too, despite not sounding as "epic" as Alive 2007, it's a great album.
