^^Heck yeah, Australia has been getting better and better at dry reds. Merlots, Cabernets, etc....but my fav is the Syrah's from there (same as Shiraz, but called differently because of different locations).
Good to mention Portugal as well! |

My favorite wine is a red called Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It's about $35+/bottle and goes great with various beef meals, but especially with Ontario spring lamb roasted in a wine sauce. Yum.

I am going to page Vrk on here.... He brought a bottle of red wine here from Croatia for Shanny a few years back. I enjoyed that wine with Shanny one Friday night and I didn't know the name of it.
I am pretty sure that you cannot get it here though unless you ordered by box, but it was one hell of a red wine.
